Sunrise members said "thank you" to outgoing President Andrea Berestovenko for a great year, during this week's changeover meeting.
Andrea thanked club members and the board for their support during her year. John Utley was inducted as the 2024-25 President, along with the new Board of Directors.
The second Tuesday of each month is also Trip of the Month Draw. Harold Offenhammer was this month's winner of a trip to Los Cabos, valued at $4,000. Congratulations to all the winners.
Member Joe Persia and Club Past President, Jeff Noble, were recipients of a Paul Harris Recognition for their financial support of the Rotary Foundation. The Paul Harris Award, named in honour of the founder of Rotary, was established in 1957 to recognize those making a significant financial contribution ($1,000 US) to the humanitarian and educational programs of the Foundation.
Outgoing Rotary exchange student, Holly Macintyre, spoke to Club members about her family, interests and achievements, as she prepares to leave for a year-long exchange in San Bernardo, Argentina.
Thank you, again, Past President Andrea, for an excellent year, and we look forward to working closely with President John in 2024-25.
